Cleaning method for the glass cover of LED display screen

Following a set of careful, step-by-step cleaning rules keeps the glass surface crystal clear without causing any accidental harm.

Brush Away Loose Surface Dust Before Any Wiping

Before you touch the glass with any cloth, use a long soft bristle brush to sweep all loose dust, tiny sand grains and dry debris off the surface gently. Make sure you brush all the fine particles toward the edge of the glass instead of pushing them around in circles, because trapped sand grains can easily leave faint scratch marks if you rub them hard across the glass later. You can also use a low-pressure dry air blower to blow away the remaining tiny dust particles from the corners, so no hard grit is left on the surface before you start the main wiping process. This simple pre-cleaning step prevents 90 percent of accidental scratch issues that happen during regular glass maintenance.

Use Lint-Free Soft Cloth for Gentle Wiping

Pick a clean, lint-free ultra-soft cloth that leaves no tiny loose fibers behind, and fold it into a thick, smooth pad before you touch the glass. Wipe the surface in slow straight lines from one side to the other, instead of making random circular motions that can spread faint dust marks all over the panel. Do not press down hard on the glass while wiping, because too much concentrated force in one spot can create subtle pressure marks or even put extra stress on the internal LED modules hidden right behind the surface. This light, steady wiping motion picks up all remaining fine dust without putting unnecessary strain on the glass or the parts behind it.

Handle Stubborn Stains With Minimal Liquid

For sticky marks like fingerprint smudges, dried insect splatters or light oil residue that do not come off with a dry cloth, dampen a tiny corner of the cloth with a small amount of neutral, non-abrasive cleaning solution. Squeeze the corner of the cloth as hard as you can to remove every drop of excess liquid, so no wetness can drip down and seep into the gaps around the glass frame. Dab the stained spot lightly for a few seconds to soften the mark, then wipe it away slowly with a clean dry section of the cloth. Never spray any liquid directly onto the glass surface, because running liquid can flow into the narrow gaps between the glass and the frame, and leave hidden moisture that damages internal components over time.

Dry the Surface Completely to Avoid Water Marks

After you finish wiping the stained areas, use a second completely dry clean cloth to go over the whole glass surface one more time. Wipe along the same straight lines you used earlier, to soak up all faint leftover dampness before it can evaporate on its own and leave behind ugly streaky water marks. Pay extra attention to the edges of the glass near the frame, where tiny amounts of moisture often hide and are easy to miss. Do not use a fan or hair dryer to blow hot air directly onto the glass surface, because uneven rapid heating can create subtle temperature differences that put unnecessary stress on the glass panel. This slow natural drying process leaves the glass perfectly clear with zero streaks.

Inspect the Glass Surface After Every Cleaning

Step a few meters away from the display and look at the glass from different angles under normal working light, to check for any leftover faint marks, tiny scratches or missed dust spots. If you find a small area that still looks a little hazy, use a new clean section of the soft cloth to wipe that specific spot gently again. Do not repeat the full wiping process over the whole panel, because extra unnecessary rubbing can add more risk of accidental scratches. This quick post-cleaning check makes sure the glass stays perfectly transparent, so the LED display can deliver the sharp, bright picture quality it was designed to show.
