Practical Debugging Tips for LED Display Text Misalignment
Text misalignment on an LED display usually shows up as shifted characters, broken lines of text, partial content cut off at screen edges, or words that wrap incorrectly across different display sections. This issue rarely comes from physical hardware damage, and most cases can be fixed through systematic software and connection checks without taking apart modules. The following practical steps help you locate the root cause and restore normal display performance quickly.

First-step quick checks for external connections
Start by shutting down the display control system completely, then inspect all signal cables running between the sending card, receiving cards and the display panel array. Make sure no cable is loose, no pins are bent at the connector ends, and no cable is stretched too tight to cause subtle signal transmission gaps. Swap the suspected signal cable with a confirmed working one, then restart the system to see if the misaligned text returns to normal. Next, check the connection sequence of the receiving cards along the display. If the cards are plugged in out of the pre-set order, or if a signal line is connected to the wrong input port, text content will often shift or split across unrelated areas of the screen. Many users skip this simple check and spend hours adjusting software settings, only to find the problem was caused by a slightly misplaced signal cable.

Software parameter calibration for text positioning
After confirming all external connections are in the correct state, open the display control software to check the basic screen configuration settings. First verify that the total width and height pixel values entered in the software exactly match the actual total resolution of your full LED display setup. If the set pixel count is smaller than the real screen size, text will get cut off at the edge; if the value is larger than the actual hardware, content will overflow and wrap to the wrong section. Next, adjust the horizontal offset and vertical offset parameters slowly in small increments, while observing the text position on the screen in real time. These offset settings control where the starting point of the display content lands on the physical panel, and even a single wrong digit can push an entire line of text several pixels out of place. You can also send a test page with evenly spaced numbers and full lines of standard characters, which makes it much easier to spot exactly how many pixels the text is shifted, so you can input the correction value accurately.

Advanced troubleshooting for persistent misalignment
If the basic connection and parameter checks do not resolve the issue, move on to check the group mapping settings for each receiving card. Each receiving card controls a fixed section of the display, and if the mapping table assigns the wrong pixel range to a specific card, text will jump or break at the boundary between two card-controlled areas. You can reset the receiving card to its factory default configuration, then re-upload the mapping profile one card at a time, testing the text display after each upload to catch the exact point where the misalignment reappears. For displays that run text content through an external media player, check the output resolution setting of the player to make sure it matches the signal input resolution of the LED display control system. A mismatch here will cause the entire text feed to stretch, shift or misalign even when all the display hardware settings are perfectly configured.
